# Creating an organization 2

Organizations provide the foundation for collaboration in Condense. Every environment, workspace, application, and user belongs to an organization, enabling teams to manage resources, permissions, and access from a central location.

Depending on how you start using Condense, an organization may be created automatically or manually.

## Before You Begin

Before creating an organization, ensure that you:

* Have a Condense account.
* Have permission to create a new organization.
* Have completed account verification, if applicable.

## Create a New Organization

To create a new organization:

1. Sign in to Condense.
2. Navigate to **Organization Management**.
3. Select **Create Organization**.
4. Enter the required organization details.
5. Review and confirm the information.
6. Complete the organization creation process.

After the organization is created, you become the **Organization Administrator** and can begin configuring environments and inviting additional users.

## During Try Condense for Free

If you are using **Try Condense for Free**, a trial organization is automatically assigned during onboarding.

When you upgrade your trial, you can create a new organization as part of the upgrade workflow. Your existing Condense account continues to be used throughout the process.

## Next Steps
