# Managing organization members

Organization administrators can manage members to ensure the right users have access to the appropriate Condense resources. Members can be invited, assigned roles, and managed throughout their lifecycle within an organization.

## Viewing Members

The **Members** page provides a centralized view of all users who belong to your organization.

For each member, you can view:

* Name
* Email address
* Assigned role
* Organization status
* Associated environments

## Inviting Members

To invite a new member:

1. Navigate to **Organization Management**.
2. Open the **Members** page.
3. Select **Invite Member**.
4. Enter the user's email address.
5. Select the appropriate organization or environment role.
6. Send the invitation.

The invited user will receive an email containing instructions to join the organization.

## Managing Member Access

After a member joins the organization, administrators can manage their access by:

* Assigning or updating roles.
* Granting access to environments.
* Revoking environment access.
* Removing members from the organization.

Changes to a member's permissions take effect immediately after they are saved.

## Member Status

A member can have one of the following statuses:

| Status      | Description                                                               |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Invited** | An invitation has been sent but has not yet been accepted. |
| **Active** | The member has accepted the invitation and can access assigned resources. |

## Removing Members

Organization administrators can remove members who no longer require access.

Removing a member revokes their access to the organization's resources. This action does not delete the user's Condense account and does not affect their membership in other organizations.

## Best Practices

* Assign the minimum permissions required for each user.
* Regularly review organization membership.
* Remove inactive users who no longer require access.
* Grant environment access only to users who require it.
