# Limits and figures

> The numbers worth knowing about Insights: the highest values the form accepts, what each situation compares, and what one accept costs.

## What the form accepts

* **Requests for CPU and Limits for CPU:** up to 2000 m.
* **Requests for RAM and Limits for RAM:** up to 8000 Mib.

A request cannot be larger than its own limit, and the new figures have to fit on a node.

## When Insights speaks, and when it stays quiet

* **Requests for RAM below the recommended memory:** you are shown a recommendation to raise it.
* **Requests for RAM above the recommended memory:** you are shown a recommendation to lower it.
* **Requests for CPU below the recommended CPU:** you are shown a recommendation to raise it.
* **Requests for CPU above three times the recommended CPU:** you are shown a recommendation to lower it. Three times is the default and it can be set per workspace.
* **Stopped for running out of memory after 10 minutes or less of running:** you are shown a recommendation with a warning.
* **How much history the recommended size is built from:** eight days, with recent days counting for more.
* **Before the first recommendation:** about 8 minutes of the connector's activity. The Insights tab says when to expect it.

## What one recommendation does

* **Restarts caused by accepting:** one, however many fields are listed.
* **Restarts caused by Condense on its own:** none.
* **A dismissed recommendation returns when:** the recommended figure changes from the one you dismissed.
