# Where to start an upgrade

> You can open the Upgrade plan window from the plan chip, from the Billing page, or it opens by itself when a trial has ended.

## From the plan chip

The plan chip sits in the top bar of both the Console and Core. It shows the days left in your trial, or your plan name once you are on a paid plan. Select it to see the details and to open the Upgrade plan window.

On Enterprise: the plan name. This chip is view-only. The figures in this illustration are examples.

* On **Free**, **Hobby** and **Team** the chip is clickable.
* On **Enterprise** the chip is view-only. There is nothing further to upgrade to.

## From the Billing page

In Condense Console, select **Billing** in the Management menu. It shows your current plan with an **Upgrade** button, which opens the same window.

## When your trial has ended

If your trial has ended, the Upgrade plan window opens as soon as you sign in. It cannot be closed until you choose how to continue. See [When your trial has ended](https://docs.condense.io/condense/v3.0.0/condense-guide/condense-console/sign-up-and-sign-in.md#when-your-free-trial-has-ended).
