# Vapr across your application's lifecycle

> Describe the application you want in plain language, and Vapr stays with it from the first idea to a deployed, tested application, in one conversation, with you approving each step.

Building a streaming application usually means moving between an editor, a pipeline console, test tools and log viewers. With Vapr you stay in one chat. Vapr hands each phase to a specialist agent, takes the conversation back when the agent is done, and never moves forward without your yes.

## Three ideas hold it together

* **One conversation, the whole lifecycle**: Build, deploy, test and monitor all happen in the same chat.
* **Specialists do the work, Vapr orchestrates**: Each phase has its own agent with its own tools and context. Vapr routes you to the right one and brings you back.
* **You own the gates**: Vapr proposes the next step, for example *Do you want me to deploy this?*, and nothing happens until you say yes.

## The lifecycle

B -- your yes --> C["Deploy"]
C -- your yes --> D["Test<br/>end to end"]
D --> E["Monitor"]
```
The Coding Agent runs test cases while it builds, inside the application's dev container. The end-to-end test comes after the application is deployed, because it sends messages through the running pipeline.
Monitoring stays on once the application is running, so you can ask about it at any time.
