Recharge Tokens

The Recharge Tokens page allows Environment Administrators to purchase additional AI tokens for an environment. These tokens are added to the environment’s Input and Output Token Wallets and become immediately available for use by AI Agents. Token recharges ensure uninterrupted AI operations when the available balance becomes low or exhausted.

How Recharge Works

When additional tokens are purchased:
  1. The required recharge quantity is selected.
  2. Billing is calculated based on the configured pricing plan.
  3. Payment is completed.
  4. Tokens are credited to the environment.
  5. The updated balance becomes available immediately.
The recharge process is completed without interrupting existing workloads.

Recharge Types

Depending on your subscription, Condense supports one or more recharge options. Available recharge options depend on your organization’s billing plan.

Purchasing Tokens

To purchase additional tokens:
  1. Open Billing.
  2. Navigate to Recharge Tokens.
  3. Select the target Environment.
  4. Choose the recharge quantity.
  5. Review pricing.
  6. Complete payment.
  7. Confirm the recharge.
Once the payment is successful, the token balance is updated automatically.

Recharge History

Every recharge is recorded for auditing and billing purposes. Recharge history includes:
  • Recharge date
  • Environment
  • Purchased quantity
  • Recharge type
  • Total amount
  • Payment status
  • Transaction reference
This history helps administrators track token purchases over time.

Balance Updates

After a successful recharge:
  • Wallet balances are updated automatically.
  • AI Agents can immediately consume the newly added tokens.
  • No connector or agent restart is required.

Failed Recharges

A recharge may fail if:
  • Payment authorization fails.
  • The payment gateway is temporarily unavailable.
  • Billing validation cannot be completed.
In these cases:
  • No tokens are credited.
  • Wallet balances remain unchanged.
  • The failed transaction is recorded for reference.

Permissions

Only users with the required billing permissions can purchase additional tokens. Typical permissions include:
  • View wallet balances
  • View recharge history
  • Purchase tokens
  • Manage billing settings
Users without billing permissions can view token availability only if permitted by their assigned role.

Best Practices

  • Monitor wallet balances regularly.
  • Recharge before balances become critically low.
  • Review recharge history periodically for auditing.
  • Assign billing permissions only to authorized administrators.
  • Estimate expected AI usage before purchasing large token bundles.
